“An emotional blend of strident and vulnerable, bouncing between pop, EDM, rap, reggaeton and balladry” The Times

MIAMI (March 22nd, 2024) – Today, GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Shakira released her highly-anticipated 12th studio album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran – listen HERE.

Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran marks Shakira’s first album in seven years and is a dazzling testament to her resilience and strength, as well as music’s power to transform even the most trying experiences into precious moments.

The record boasts 16 tracks, 8 new songs, a new remix, and 7 previously released smash hit singles including “Music Sessions Vol. 53” with Bizarrap, “TQG” with Karol G, “Monotonía” with Ozuna,Te Felicito” with Rauw Alejandro, “Copa Vacía” with Manuel Turizo and more. The 7 previously-released tracks already have a combined total of 3.7 billion plays on Spotify.

In tandem with the album release, Shakira shares the fantasy-filled music video for her infectious new pop track “Puntería” alongside Cardi B. Shakira told the New York Times, “I sent [Cardi] the song and she jumped on it right away. It was actually an enormous pleasure to work with her. I find her so creative and witty and direct and unapologetically  genuine.”

The video, which also features Emily in Paris star Lucien Laviscount in a guest role, is available HERE.

Speaking to the UK’s Times newspaper in an exclusive cover interview, Shakira said of the album: “[It’s] the transformation of pain into creativity, frustration into productivity, anger into passion, vulnerability into resilience. There were so many pieces of my life that crumbled in front of my eyes and I had to rebuild myself in a way, picking up the bones from the floor and putting them all together. And the glue that kept it all together was music.”

Shakira also told the Times the “Puntería” video takes place on “a planet where women rule as Amazons, who are the daughters of Artemis. I hunt [Lucien] down and he grows legs and becomes human. It’s very feminine and beautiful, with a very interesting story that is an analogy to women’s empowerment.”

Shakira celebrated the release of her album with an experiential event at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL sponsored by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Sony Music Latin. On Monday, Shakira is set to perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She will also join Jimmy on the couch to chat about the new album and more. Tune in to NBC on Monday, March 25 at 11:35pm ET.

Shakira’s new album is available in various distinct artwork editions in Canada. The Sapphire edition is exclusively offered on Amazon Canada. Fans can find the Emerald edition exclusively on Shakira’s official website store, and the Diamond edition is stocked by all major retailers.

Shakira already holds the place of the best-selling female Latin artist in history, with a decades-long trajectory of trailblazing and hit-making but has continued to solidify her legendary status in the past year due to the runaway success of her latest releases. Her success will no doubt continue with the release of her new album, as her resilience, vulnerability, confidence, and passion highlight both her personal challenges and her triumphs.

Shakira partnered with Spotify to give fans access to a special Pre-Release Album Experience. See below for the full tracklisting.
