Scott VS Ria Tour Hits Seventeen Cities Across Canada Starting Today
(Toronto- October 13, 2017) Indie-pop star Ria Mae is set to release a new musical project, My Love, on November 3rd. The EP takes listeners on a hypnotic journey from heartbreak to healing. Fans that pre-order the EP today will receive an instant download of the title track “My Love” and current single “Bend.”
“Bend” is a song about bending but not breaking in a relationship. The track showcases Ria’s distinct ability to seamlessly blend raw and honest lyrics into infectious pop hooks. The single skyrocketed to the top of the CBC Radio 2 charts for four weeks this summer and is currently Top 10 at Hot AC and Top 25 at CHR radio. Earlier this week, Ria released a remix of “Bend” by German DJ and Producer Thomas Gold. The remix is available to download or stream and will also be available as an instant download with pre-order of My Love.
My Love was produced by Adam King at Canterbury Studios in Toronto, mixed by Grammy Award winning Engineer Joe Visciano in Brooklyn, and mastered by Stuart Hawkes at Metropolis Mastering in London, England. It features collaborations with several of Ria’s friends including: Tegan Quin (Tegan & Sara) on “Broken,” Joel Stouffer (Dragonette) and Serena Ryder on “Bend,” and Dylan Guthro (Port Cities) on “Red Light.” My Love is the follow up to Ria’s critically acclaimed self-titled album that launched the platinum-selling “Clothes Off,” the gold certified “Ooh Love,” and garnered over 39 million combined worldwide streams.
Today also marks the start of Ria’s co-headlining tour with Scott Helman dubbed “Scott VS Ria.” The tour hits seventeen dates across Canada including: Ottawa (October 13), Toronto (October 14), Montreal (October 15), and Vancouver (November 9).
