“I’ve been waiting my whole life to make this album and it finally happened. It’s everything I could have hoped for our debut to be and more. I poured my entire self into these songs. I can’t tell you how excited I am for everyone to hear this body of work. Much love to you all,” says lead singer Mitchy Collins.

The band’s debut album features their hit single “broken,” which is currently #1 on the Canadian Mediabase alternative chart, having spent the last 8 weeks there, and also 12 weeks #1 BDS Modern Rock. In the U.S. “broken” set the record for the longest running #1 track on Alternative Radio thus far this year at 6 weeks, has over 28 million streams worldwide and was described simply as “So. Damn. Good.” by Buzzfeed and “infectious” by Billboard. Their newest single “these are my friends,” which released in May, has over 2 million streams worldwide and will also appear on the album. Previously released tracks “alone time” and “pity party” also appear on the album.

The band, who was named one of Billboard’s “10 Rock & Alternative Artists to Watch in 2018,” recently wrapped up their tours with Vance Joy and AWOLNATION, and are continuing to tour this summer before their fall tour at various festivals including Lollapalooza this weekend and Billboard’s Hot 100 Festival on August 18. They will also embark on a 29-date headlining ‘broken like me’ fall tour starting August 15 and ending October 21. The tour will hit major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Nashville, Washington D.C. and more. Click here for tickets. ABOUT LOVELYTHEBAND

Alt-pop band lovelytheband translate emotions, anxieties, and feelings into lush, layered, and lively indie pop anthems. When the band was founded by lead singer Mitchy Collins, guitarist Jordan Greenwald and drummer Sam Price in 2017, the trio maintain a lasting connection to listeners by holding nothing back.A centerpiece of the band’s debut EP everything I could never say…, the group’s debut single “broken” caught fire as the longest running #1 track on Alternative Radio thus far in 2018 with six weeks at the top. In under a year, it amassed 25 million total global streams. BuzzFeed summed it up as “So. Damn.

Good.” Billboard proclaimed the group among “10 Rock & Alternative Artists to Watch in 2018” as they supported Vance Joy and AWOLNATION on tour between headlining dates everywhere. Everything paved the way for the arrival of the band’s first full-length, finding it hard to smile [RED MUSIC]. Produced by “broken” collaborator Christian Medice, these 16 tracks entrance, engage, and enchant, offsetting shimmering keys, sweeping synths, and spacey guitars with cathartic, compelling, and catchy choruses. The title speaks directly to its thematic push-and-pull. As they round out 2018 on a headlining tour and hitting the stages of Lollapalooza, the Billboard Hot 100 Festival, and more, lovelytheband’s voice will only get dramatically louder and it might just make crowds feel better too.
