TORONTO, ON – Multi-Platinum entertainer Kane Brown, who was recently announced by The Hollywood Reporter as the first Male Country Artist to perform at the MTV VMAs, earned a worldwide #1 single this week with “Like I Love Country Music,” his eighth chart-topping record on the Country Radio charts. Brown, who has garnered nearly 12 billion career streams to date, also earns his fastest rising single with “Like I Love Country Music.” Additionally, “Like I Love Country Music” topped the Australian and Canadian radio charts this week, marking Brown’s first 4-week run at the top of the Canadian charts.

Of the #1, Brown shared with Billboard: “I wrote ‘Like I Love Country Music’ with Jordan Schmidt, Taylor Phillips, and Matt McGinn out on the road a few years ago.  We recorded it in 2019 and never put it out. I always loved the song so I went back into the studio with Dann Huff and we re-cut it for my new album, Different Man.  I’m really proud that we were patient enough to get the song right.  Thank you to country radio, my promo team at Sony, my fans, my co-writers and publishers, and everyone who is a part of it. Also I’m especially grateful to Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks who added their vocals to the song, which made it complete.”

“Like I Love Country Music” is the follow-up to Brown’s #1 hit “One Mississippi,” and the second No. 1 single to come from his upcoming highly-anticipated album, Different Man, out September 9th.  After previewing new music for fans online last week, this morning Brown released an additional track from the album, titled “Go Around,” ahead of his upcoming performance of his single, “Grand,” on August 28th at the MTV VMAs. This morning, Brown talked to Zane Lowe on his New Music Daily show on Apple Music about “Go Around” and his upcoming album Different Man. Listen to “Go Around” and pre-order/save the album here.

Following the release of Different Man (9/9), Brown’s Drunk or Dreaming International Tour will kick off in Melbourne, Australia (9/17) before continuing throughout Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK, and Europe. The Drunk or Dreaming Tour marks the first time Brown will tour Australia and New Zealand, and make his long-awaited return to Canada and Europe.

Named as one of Time’s 100 most influential people in the world, Brown has ascended from social media notability to become one of country music’s most accomplished mainstays with eight chart-topping singles to his name. Noted as “the future of country music” (Billboard), Brown first broke onto the scene with the arrival of his self-titled, 2X Platinum debut album (2016), where he became the first artist ever to lead all five of Billboard’s main country charts simultaneously. His debut effort, Kane Brown, topped the Billboard Top Country Albums chart for 13 weeks and garnered 7X Platinum-certified hits “Heaven” and “What Ifs”-the fourth and seventh most-streamed country songs of all time (U.S. Nielsen Country On-Demand Streams chart). With the release of his follow-up album Experiment (2018), Brown became the only male country artist in more than 24 years to have his sophomore album debut at the top of the  Billboard 200. Following Experiment, Brown released his multi-song project Mixtape Vol. 1– which earned Brown an ACM Award nomination for Album of the Year (2021) and an ACM win for “Video of the Year.” A CMA, ACM, Billboard, AMA and People’s Choice Award nominee, Brown has collaborated with numerous artists including Grammy and Academy Award winning singer-songwriter H.E.R. (“Blessed & Free,”) DJ Marshmello (“One Thing Right”), Khalid and Swae Lee (Platinum “Be Like That”), “blackbear (“Memory”), John Legend (“Last Time I Say Sorry”), Camila Cabello (“Never Be The Same” remix), Brooks & Dunn (“Believe”) and Becky G. (“Lost In The Middle Of Nowhere” remix) and Chris Young (“Famous Friends”), which became Billboard’s 2021 year-end No. 1 Country Airplay Song and earned a CMT Award for “Collaborative Video of the Year.”
