JOHN LEGEND RELEASES “BIGGER LOVE”

BET’s “Saving Our Selves: A Covid-19 Relief Effort” on April 22

 (April 17, 2020) – John Legend has been sharing music from his forthcoming album and today released his new song, the title track, “Bigger Love.” Listen to “Bigger Love” HERE.

The uplifting and upbeat pop-soul song reminds us all of the many forms of love in the world and the innate part of human nature in all of us that we need to love more in these times.

“This song is a celebration of love, resilience and hope,” says Legend. “I wrote it last year, before any of us could have imagined what 2020 would become.  The message of the song is that love can help carry us through these dark times and music can bring us joy and inspiration.  I hope it brings some light to people’s day and maybe inspires a dance break!”

Legend is set for perform “Bigger Love” during Global Citizen’s “One World: Together At Home” Digital special to support frontline healthcare workers and the World Health Organization. Legend will also appear on the broadcast event, curated by Lady Gaga, along with Billie Eilish, Elton John, Lizzo, Maluma, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder among others. The digital special and broadcast event will air on Saturday, April 18 at 2pm -10pm ET across multiple streaming platforms and at 8pm – 10pm ET on various networks. Legend will also perform “Bigger Love” on “Saving Our Selves: A BET COVID-19 Relief Effort,” which will air on April 22 at 8pm ET on BET. The special event, also featuring DJ Khaled, Chance the Rapper, Kelly Rowland and others, is in partnership with the NAACP and United Way Worldwide to help provide critical financial, educational and community support directly to African Americans hardest hit by Coronavirus crisis.

“Bigger Love” follows his latest release “Actions,” which Rolling Stone declared, “Hear John Legend Urge For ‘Actions’ on New Single,” and the #1 song “Conversations in the Dark,” which MTV says about the song, “John Legend has written the world’s sweetest vows,” and calls it a “tear-jerker,” while Billboard declares that “Conversations,” is “his romantic new song….[that] details the moments while falling in love.” Both songs are featured on his upcoming album Bigger Love to be released this summer.
