AD ASTRA (Epic Records/Sony Music Italy) is the title of IL VOLO‘s new album, the first to be comprised entirely of previously unreleased tracks, available now across all digital platforms. An international musical journey of eleven tracks, which comes after the trio’s participation in the 74th Sanremo Festival with Capolavoro, crowning their 15-year career.
AD ASTRA resembles a finely tailored suit, expertly crafted from the distinct yet harmonious personalities of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble. A unique record project, fruit of the intense collaboration with an exceptional team of some of the most important songwriters and producers at present, including Michelangelo, Federica Abbate, Edwin Roberts, Michael Tenisci, Federico Nardelli, Luca Faraone and Stefano Marletta. Saturn and Venus, the special collaboration with IRAMA, occupies a special place on the track list, where the singer-songwriter’s voice and pen are synthetized in a piece that is perfectly in tune with Volo’s identity.

Eleven tracks with a fresh and brilliant sound, bridging the past and present with a decisive leap into the future: AD ASTRA is a truly boundless cosmic experience of intimacy and celestial sounds, in which the world’s most famous Italian trio combines their musical talent with the grandeur of space and time. The album’s metaphysical concept challenges the boundaries of the visible and projects the listener into the deep mysteries of the universe, through hardship to the stars, Per Aspera… Ad Astra, inviting them to explore the unknown through the power of music.
The trio will take their new music and the most important songs from their repertoire on a World Tour, starting in April in China and Japan, before arriving in Italy with Tutti Per Uno (a project by Michele Torpedine), four special evenings at the Arena di Verona (9, 11 – sold out, 12, 13 May), broadcast in prime time on Canale 5, with many important guests from the Italian music scene. The Italian tour continues until September with Tutti Per Uno – Capolavoro, 20 dates in the most impressive venues in Italy, while in October Il Volo will take their music to the main European capitals, including Paris, Berlin, Prague and many others. In 2025 the trio will tour the USA, Canada and Latin America.
