(May 17, 2024) – Today, award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin releases her newest EP, A Week in Nashville, out everywhere now via Cult Nation/The Orchard.

LISTEN TO A WEEK IN NASHVILLE HERE

Made up of three tracks co-written and produced with Tofer Brown (Elle King, Keith Urban) and Gabe Simon (Noah Kahan, Lana Del Rey), A Week in Nashville is centered around themes of heartbreak, loss, and growth. Previously-released single “Lonely with Our Love” details feeling lost within a failing relationship, while “I Came Here to Leave You” is a raw, stripped-back track about the struggle of ending a relationship while there is still love present. Closer “Did Life Work Out For You?” ends the EP on a bittersweet note, as Charlotte reflects on the breakup and reminds listeners, “Things happen the way they’re supposed to.” Overall, the EP shows Charlotte embracing her confessional lyricism across the three vulnerable tracks and further showcasing her powerful vocal range.

“Nashville became a refuge in a week where my world was unraveling, offering a creative lifeline at a time when I really needed it,” explains Charlotte. “I hope these three songs bring as much comfort to everyone as they did to me.”

  2. I Came Here to Leave You
  3. Did Life Work Out For You?

A Week in Nashville follows Cardin’s 4-track EP released in November 2023, Une Semaine à Paris, her first project entirely in French. Just a few months prior, she released her sophomore album, 99 Nights, gaining praise from outlets including Billboard, NYLON, Complex, and more. Single “Confetti” has since been streamed over 36 million times on Spotify alone, earning Charlotte her first chart hit in the United States. Other album tracks such as singles “Jim Carrey” and “Next To You,” have also earned millions of streams since their release late last year. Furthermore, Charlotte was awarded ‘Pop Album of the Year” and ‘Album of the Year’ at the 2024 JUNO Awards. To support the release of the album, she embarked on her 99 Nights Tour, selling out multiple cities across North America and Europe.

Next month, she will kick off what is set to be another expansive international run of shows, including multiple dates in France and Québec, as well as stops in Luxembourg, Belgium, and Switzerland. In the midst of the run, U.S. fans can see her perform at Milwaukee’s Summerfest on June 21st. Tickets for her upcoming shows can be purchased HERE, and a full list of dates can be found below.

About Charlotte Cardin:

After generating hundreds of millions of streams and earning widespread praise courtesy of Harper’s BAZAAR, The FADER, Interview, W Magazine, and more, Charlotte Cardin opens up like never before on her 2023 JUNO award-winning sophomore album, 99 Nights. The Montréal-born and Paris-based singer, songwriter, and creator exhales raw truths through a haze of nocturnal production, leaving pieces of her story on tape. Created with her core-team in Montréal, Cardin also welcomed international talents such as Rob Grimaldi, Felix Joseph and Digital Farm Animals. 99 Nights expanded Cardin’s reach internationally with billboards going up in New York City’s Times Square, the artist getting her own radio show on Apple Music 1, being featured on A COLORS SHOW and the album coming in at #9 on Spotify’s Global Debut Chart. At home, the record earned Cardin the most nominations at the 2024 JUNO Awards, namely for “Artist of the Year”, “Album of the Year” and “Single of the Year”, for Confetti. The 99 Nights Tour traveled across 50 plus cities worldwide, including sold out shows at Irving Plaza in New York, four nights at Place Bell arena in Montreal, two nights at Massey Hall, in Toronto, and after selling out l’Olympia in Paris, Cardin went on to sell-out the iconic Zénith venue, a year in advance of her show in December 2025.

Following the Big Boy EP and Main Girl EP, Cardin emerged as an international phenomenon with her 2021 debut Phoenix. At the 2022 JUNO Awards, the LP took home “Album of the Year” and “Pop Album of the Year,” while Meaningless garnered “Single of the Year” and she personally received “Artist of the Year.” Inciting unanimous tastemaker applause, HYPEBAE christened her “one of Canada’s brightest young talents.” Following sold-out headline dates and powerhouse turns at Bonnaroo and Festival d’Été de Québec, Cardin has topped the bill at Osheaga multiple times.
