BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN’S ‘TRACKS II: THE LOST ALBUMS’ – A COLLECTION OF 7 NEVER-HEARD, FULL LENGTH RECORDS
OUT TODAY VIA SONY MUSIC
Seven previously-unheard Bruce Springsteen records have been released for the first time today on “Tracks II: The Lost Albums.” Spanning 83 songs – 74 of which have never been released in any form – the nine LP / seven CD collection offers an unprecedented look into 35 prolific years of Springsteen’s life and work as an artist. “’The Lost Albums’ were full records, some of them even to the point of being mixed and not released,” said Springsteen. “I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now. I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them.” Springsteen recently discussed the albums in-depth with the New York Times and Rolling Stone, as well as in the new video feature “Inside Tracks II: The Lost Albums”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mo-pkzr0588

Included within “Tracks II: The Lost Albums” are the drum loop and synthesizer sounds of “Streets of Philadelphia Sessions,” country combos with pedal steel on “Somewhere North of Nashville,” arena-ready E Street energy on “Perfect World,” richly-woven border tales on “Inyo,” film soundtrack work (for a movie that was never made) on “Faithless” and an homage to American pop standards with “Twilight Hours.” Each of these six albums was previewed in advance of the collection’s release, but today listeners get their first chance to hear the lo-fi exploration of “LA Garage Sessions ’83,” a crucial link between “Nebraska” and “Born in the U.S.A.” Listen to “Unsatisfied Heart” from the 18-song collection here: https://brucespringsteen.lnk.to/UnsatisfiedHeart
“The Lost Albums” arrive today in limited-edition LP, CD and digital formats — including distinctive packaging for each previously-unreleased record, with a 100-page cloth-bound, hardcover book featuring rare archival photos, liner notes on each lost album from essayist Erik Flannigan and a personal introduction on the project from Springsteen himself. A companion set — “Lost And Found: Selections from The Lost Albums” — is also out today on two LPs or one CD. “The Lost Albums” were compiled by Springsteen with producer Ron Aniello, engineer Rob Lebret and supervising producer Jon Landau at Thrill Hill Recording in New Jersey.
