[New York, NY – October 2, 2018] Following a 2017 that saw BROCKHAMPTON release their Saturation trilogy and ascend to the forefront of music, the group’s first major label album, iridescence on Question Everything/RCA Records, debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200 and R&B/Hip-Hop charts this week, according to Nielsen Music. In Canada, iridescence debuts at #6 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart and #2 on the Rap Albums chart!
The #1 chart debut marks another milestone in the group’s meteoric rise over the last two years, as they released four critically acclaimed albums, toured the world and made their late night television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The hardest working boyband in show business continues to prove that their success is more than just a flash in the pan.
To celebrate the release of their album, the group recently shared two new videos for “NEW ORLEANS” and “SAN MARCOS.” Both visuals were directed by Kevin Abstract and were filmed in Australia in the midst of the group’s sold-out tour of Australia and New Zealand that saw them perform at all four cities participating in Australia’s Listen Out Festival.
The group is also gearing up to embark on their new North American fall “i’ll be there tour.” Beginning October 3rd in Mesa, Arizona, BROCKHAMPTON will play 27 dates across North America including festival sets at Austin City Limits and Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw before concluding on December 6th in Las Vegas. See below for full tour routing.
The new run of North American tour dates follows a wildly-successful tour run that saw BROCKHAMPTON play a string of 5-star reviewed, sold-out European tour dates including back-to-back London shows and two highlight sets at Reading and Leeds Festivals. In Reading, the group was brought on stage to close N.E.R.D’s set, with Pharrell shouting out his “little brothers” after a wild performance of “Lemon.”
