21 SAVAGE GETS VULNERABLE ON ALICIA KEYS’ REMIX FOR “SHOW ME LOVE” FEATURING MIGUEL

NEW YORK, NY (November 4, 2019) — GRAMMY-nominated rapper 21 Savage, who is also known for his love of R&B songs, shows his vulnerable side on a new remix of 15-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer Alicia Keys’ sensual slow jam, “Show Me Love,” ft. Miguel. Released via RCA, the track premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show and is now available to stream across all digital platforms HERE.
On the remix 21 Savage raps, “I sleep in the trap and just thug, but I’d rather you show me some love. I’d rather you show me it’s real, I’d rather you tell me your feelings than you act like I’m trippin or high on the pill.” And adds, “Go through so much in the street I just want to come home to a meal and a hug.”
The collaboration literally went from a phone call to the remix when Alicia’s husband, GRAMMY Award winning producer Swizz Beatz reaches out to 21 to catch-up. When 21 Savage mentioned he was a fan of Alicia’s and knew all of her songs, Swizz suggested synergy would be natural with a “Show Me Love” remix.
The original version of “Show Me Love,” was released in September and is the first release for her seventh studio album set for 2020. Critics praised the audio and visuals for the song, with BET.com claiming, “Keys embodies what it means to be ‘an artist,’ in every sense of the word.” And VIBE stating, “Love is nurtured and adored [taking Keys] back to basics.”
For the visuals, Keys partnered with Director Cara Stricker (Kacy Hill, A$AP Rocky, St. Vincent) to make a triptych of one-shot scenes featuring Miguel, Michael B. Jordan, Zoe Saldana and her husband Marco Perego Saldana. The song marked the first release from Keys’ seventh studio album which is due in the coming months.
