(January 26, 2024) – Toronto-based artist 12AM, known for his lyricism and rhythmic pop sound, has unveiled his latest track, “Over You,” today. The track follows the November 2023 release of, “Next To You,” produced by the acclaimed Tyler Dopps (charlieonafriday, Lil Tjay, Macklemore).
“Over You” delves into the complexities of heartbreak and the struggle to move on after the end of a relationship. The song opens with sentimental guitar strumming, setting the mood for the song’s journey exploring the fear of loneliness post-breakup.
12AM questions it all in the chorus, singing, “You say that it’s over, but how the f*ck do I get over you?”
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song’s creation, 12AM says, “‘Over You’ comes from a place where even when a relationship ends you never truly get over that person. No matter what you’ll always have that love for that person even through the hard times.”
This release follows the success of 12AM’s previous releases like “Voices,” which racked up over 7 million streams, “Hollywood” that climbed to #25 on Billboard’s CHR Top 40 and “Showgirls,” his collaboration with Pressa and Tyla Yaweh that amassed over 3 million streams.
