NEW MUSIC VIDEO FROM HALIFAX DJ/PRODUCER ALSO PREMIERES TODAY

(October 19, 2018) Today, Famba, Halifax-based producer, DJ and EDM artist releases his new single Wish You Well with Lucky Rose featuring Trove. Accompanying the song’s release is a music video providing a visual for the fiery and emotional record about heartbreak and moving on. The single’s release follows the success of Famba’s previous breakthrough records “Vibe,(which garnered over 27 million global streams) and “Space” (sitting at over 3 million streams to date).

Outside of his original music, Famba has also remixed fellow newcomers Tyler Shaw (“Cautious,” Sony Music Canada), Mahalo (“Be My Love,” KNGP) and Saint WKND (“Survive,” Sony UK). He’s also shared the stage with electronic heavyweights like Felix Cartal, Grandtheft, and many others, in addition to gaining ongoing support from tastemaker blogs, music channels and media outlets like Chill Nation, The Vibe Guide and Aux London.

About Famba
After first bursting onto the scene in 2016, buzzing producer/DJ Famba, née Ryan Pettipas, has graduated from the local music scene in his hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia, in eastern Canada to become one of the country’s fastest-rising electronic artists. Already, he’s released major label originals and widespread remixes, which have collectively garnered tens of millions of streams across multiple platforms.

A self-taught guitarist and drummer, Famba developed his passion for music via traditional means and through the internet. After a short stint dabbling in underground techno productions, Famba combined his love for pop music and dance floor-ready melodies to create his unique sound: perfectly crafted, body-moving EDM mixed with catchy, dreamy pop with an alternative edge, as heard on his breakout track “Vibe.” Released in May 2017 on Epic Oslo (Sony Music Norway), “Vibe” counts more than 27 million streams collectively to date. Elsewhere, the beautifully melodic and introspectively deep “Space” (Epic Oslo) has racked up more 3 million streams, while “Not Giving Up” (SOURCE) features winsome acoustic guitars over an uplifting deep house framework.

His newest track, “Wish You Well” (Sony Music Canada), in collaboration with Lucky Rose, is a liberating breakup song featuring Australian vocalist Trove. Soundtracked by soft synth melodies and a fiery chorus, “Wish You Well” represents the major progress Famba has made as a producer and artist since his breakthrough year in 2017 and gives a glimpse into his future sounds.
